Watercolor Beautiful Birthday – CMCC#80

Watercolor Beautiful Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Me! Challenge #80.  This challenge uses 3 beautiful colors, Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Sky!

I decided to use the Best Thoughts and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  I embossed the flowers and sentiment onto a single piece of Watercolor Paper using a transparent Embossing Powder.  The butterfly was also embossed onto a separate sheet of Watercolor Paper.

The flowers and banner are colored with Watermelon Wonder.  The leaves, stem and outline of the butterfly in Pear Pizzazz and the inside of the butterfly along with the background are using Soft Sky!  The butterfly was cut out and attached to the main sheet using dimensional dots for a little pop!

I just love the new Watermelon Wonder In-Color and the lace ribbons are to die for!  I decided to use a piece of the lace ribbon to run down the left edge of the card!  It really makes all of the color in the flowers stand out! 🙂

The watercolor sheet was mounted onto a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Pear Pizzazz card base to bring it all together!

I love how this is such a bright card but the watercolor gives it a nice soft touch.  Great for any summer birthday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ballerina Birthday

House Mouse Ballerina Birthday

Hi Stampers!

Today I’m playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Furry Friends.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

I’ve made a super adorable and totally girly birthday card for my fabulous niece!  She loves everything pink, sparkly and LOVES ballerina’s so the Ballerina Baby stamp from House Mouse was the obvious choice!

The mouse was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black in and colored with Copic Markers: Body – E00, E40, E43, and E44,  Tutu – RV11 and RV34.  I used a versamark Embossing Pen and colored over the skirt so I could emboss with clear glitter.

The mouse image was cut out using Stampin’ Up! Deco Lables framelits in the smallest size.  Then using the medium size, I cut a piece of pink vellum to go behind the mouse.

For the background, I stamped a piece of Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride cardstock with the I Love Lace stamp and embossed again with Clear Glitter.  The tag was cut using Stampin’ Up! Tags and Labels framelits.

The birthday sentiment was stamped in Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride cardstock for a very subtle look.  The sentiment is from the Penny Black Sweet Wishes stamp set.

I carried the same colors to the inside of the card and stamped the interior sentiment using the Inkadinkado Thoughts for the Day stamp set, along with some flowers for the corners!

The entire card was then spritzed with a shimmer spray to make it nice and sparkly all over!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!

Make a Wish! Shaker Card

Shaker Card 1

Hello Everyone,

I have a super fun card to share with you today!  This started as a simple shaker and grew into a fun and exciting birthday card 🙂  There’s a lot going on in this card so I have several pictures and I’ll make sure to list all of the supplies!

So, we’ll start with the Shaker.  This was created using the Stars Framelits from Stampin’ Up.  The cupcake is from the Carnival Cupcakes set from Mama Elephant and was colored using Copic Markers.  I used patterned paper for the backing and front of the shaker.
