Today I’m playing along with the Color Me! Challenge #80. This challenge uses 3 beautiful colors, Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Sky!
I decided to use the Best Thoughts and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! I embossed the flowers and sentiment onto a single piece of Watercolor Paper using a transparent Embossing Powder. The butterfly was also embossed onto a separate sheet of Watercolor Paper.
The flowers and banner are colored with Watermelon Wonder. The leaves, stem and outline of the butterfly in Pear Pizzazz and the inside of the butterfly along with the background are using Soft Sky! The butterfly was cut out and attached to the main sheet using dimensional dots for a little pop!
I just love the new Watermelon Wonder In-Color and the lace ribbons are to die for! I decided to use a piece of the lace ribbon to run down the left edge of the card! It really makes all of the color in the flowers stand out! 🙂
The watercolor sheet was mounted onto a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Pear Pizzazz card base to bring it all together!
I love how this is such a bright card but the watercolor gives it a nice soft touch. Great for any summer birthday!

I have a super fun card to share with you today! This started as a simple shaker and grew into a fun and exciting birthday card 🙂 There’s a lot going on in this card so I have several pictures and I’ll make sure to list all of the supplies!
So, we’ll start with the Shaker. This was created using the Stars Framelits from Stampin’ Up. The cupcake is from the Carnival Cupcakes set from Mama Elephant and was colored using Copic Markers. I used patterned paper for the backing and front of the shaker.
The Banner and Sentiment were both stamped using the Simon Says Stamp – Big Birthday Wishes stamp set:The adorable Bunny and Bear are both from the Carnival Cupcakes stamp set. These were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black in and colored in with Copic Markers. They were cut out using the Fabulous coordinating die set!!
For the background I embossed a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Polka Dot embossing folder from Stampin’ Up!, I then scribbled over each raised dot using Tempting Turquoise and Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Write markers.
I then added a few stars and sequins and BAM, there’s a fun card that any child would love!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fantastic card!
